It really wasn’t until I lost my first long term customer that I realized something had to change in my business. I had opened my own small business not to be more stressed out than I was at my last job. I didn’t want to be unorganized and appear unprofessional — and that’s what hurt the most. My ex-customer telling me that suddenly I appeared unprofessional after being with me for a year.

I wish I could have argued back with a good point but deep down I knew I had dropped the ball, which really sucks. It wasn’t done on purpose. It was an honest mistake by a small business owner who has taken on too much for her own good! It was then that I decided to implement a project management software solution and I haven’t lost another customer yet.

In fact, my customers welcomed this changed and love communicating with me through my PM software. How cool is that?
